In light of the threat of an invasion from the east, King Yehoshafat (\u05d4\u05de\u05dc\u05da \u05d9\u05d4\u05d5\u05e9\u05e4\u05d8) of Judah prayed: “O LORD, God of our fathers (\u05d9\u05d4\u05d5\u05d4 \u05d0\u05b1\u05dc\u05b9\u05d4\u05b5\u05d9 \u05d0\u05b2\u05d1\u05b9\u05ea\u05b5\u05d9\u05e0\u05d5\u05bc), are you not God in heaven? You rule over all the kingdoms of the nations. In your hand are power and might, so that none is able to withstand you… O our God, will you not judge them? For we are powerless against this huge army that attacks us; we do not know what to do: but our eyes are upon you (\u05db\u05bc\u05b4\u05d9 \u05e2\u05b8\u05dc\u05b6\u05d9\u05da\u05b8 \u05e2\u05b5\u05d9\u05e0\u05b5\u05d9\u05e0\u05d5\u05bc)…\u00a0 After he prayed, the Spirit of God spoke forth: “Thus says the LORD to you, ‘Do not be afraid and do not be dismayed at this great horde, for the battle is not yours but God’s'” (2 Chron. 20).<\/span><\/p>\n

Amen, this is the great principle of our spiritual warfare: “the battle is not yours but God” (\u05dc\u05b9\u05d0 \u05dc\u05b8\u05db\u05b6\u05dd \u05d4\u05b7\u05de\u05bc\u05b4\u05dc\u05b0\u05d7\u05b8\u05de\u05b8\u05d4 \u05db\u05bc\u05b4\u05d9 \u05dc\u05b5\u05d0\u05dc\u05b9\u05d4\u05b4\u05d9\u05dd).\u00a0 So be encouraged in the midst of your struggle. “Do not be afraid and do not be dismayed… for the LORD will be with you.” (2 Chron. 20:15).\u00a0 As David had said to Goliath: “The LORD saves not with sword and spear. For the battle is the LORD’s, and he will give you into our hand” (1 Sam. 17:47). Therefore look to the Lord and remain steady in your times of testing, friend! – John<\/p>\n
