First Aaron and his sons were washed with water, arrayed in priestly garments, and anointed with holy oil. During this ordination ceremony, a sin offering and burnt offering were offered on their behalf, and then a special \u201cram of ordination\u201d (i.e., <em>eil hamilu&#8217;im:<\/em> \u05d0\u05b5\u05d9\u05dc \u05d4\u05b7\u05de\u05bc\u05b4\u05dc\u05bc\u05bb\u05d0\u05b4\u05d9\u05dd, lit. \u201cram of abundance [\u05de\u05b8\u05dc\u05b5\u05d0]\u201d) was slaughtered. Some of this ram\u2019s blood was applied to the right ear, right thumb, and big toe of the Aaron and his sons (a picture of Yeshua as our suffering High Priest), and the rest of the blood was dashed upon the sides of the altar.
