These twins, of course, were <em>Esau<\/em> (\u05e2\u05b5\u05e9\u05c2\u05b8\u05d5) and <em>Ya\u2019akov<\/em> (\u05d9\u05b7\u05e2\u05b2\u05e7\u05d1), respectively. In this podcast (see link below), I discuss the relationship between Isaac and Rebekah, Esau and Jacob, and consider the ongoing struggle between &#8220;Edom&#8221; and the Jewish people&#8230; The issue of the birthright &#8211; and therefore the mantle of Abrahamic &#8211; leadership was crucial for the perpetuity of the Jewish people.
